CT Click Trigger — Remote NPC & Event Interaction for RPG Maker MZ

CT Click Trigger is an RPG Maker MZ plugin that lets players click or tap NPCs and map events to interact from a distance. Use Unlimited mode for immediate activation anywhere on the current map, or Limited mode to set a tile-based range and have the player automatically approach before the event starts.

Features

Mouse and touch interaction: Click or tap a marked event directly.
Unlimited range: Start an event immediately, even when the player is far away.
Limited range: Choose an interaction distance in tiles (default: 3).
Automatic approach: Clicking beyond the limited range makes the player walk to a reachable tile within range, then activates the event.
Obstacle-aware movement: Pathfinding follows passable four-direction routes; unreachable events do not activate.
Per-page configuration: Add the Click Trigger command to an event's active page; each page can have its own range.
Standard event behavior: Existing event commands, conditions, switches and triggers remain under RPG Maker MZ control.
Directional interaction integration: Works alongside Cynthia Tools' CT Event Side Interaction plugin.

Setup

Install and enable CT Click Trigger in RPG Maker MZ's Plugin Manager.
Open an NPC or map event and add the Click Trigger plugin command to its active event page.
Select Unlimited or Limited. For Limited, enter the interaction range in tiles.
Playtest and click or tap the event. In Limited mode, clicking from outside range starts an automatic approach.

The plugin command is a page marker: it does not need to execute first. Ordinary map clicks still handle movement when no Click Trigger event is selected.

Important behavior

Limited range uses RPG Maker MZ tile distance, not line of sight.
Player input or another click can cancel an automatic approach.
Events cannot be remotely activated while another map event is running; unreachable targets do not start.
The plugin is for RPG Maker MZ, not a claim of RPG Maker MV compatibility.
