Cynthia Tools uses first-party, aggregate analytics to understand which public pages and products are useful. We record the page path, product ID when applicable, traffic source/campaign, country code, broad device category, page-view counts, and clicks on product links that open itch.io. The analytics system does not store IP addresses, names, email addresses, payment details, persistent visitor IDs, or session recordings.

A small sessionStorage value may be used in your browser during the current tab/session to remember whether you arrived from a source such as Google, YouTube, Reddit, X, or a tagged campaign. It is used only so later product views and itch.io clicks in that visit can be attributed to the same source. Cynthia Tools does not use advertising trackers for this feature.

Administrator sign-in is handled separately from public analytics. The public site does not offer visitor accounts or store payment information.

External services

Product images may load from external image hosts. Video players load from YouTube only when you choose to play them. Purchases and downloads happen on itch.io. Those services handle their own requests and data under their own policies.
