RPG Maker MZ Click Trigger Plugin – Click NPCs & Events | Webcomic

CT_ClickTrigger is an RPG Maker MZ plugin that lets players click or tap map events such as NPCs, chests and objects to activate them. This illustrated webcomic explains how click-to-interact events work, including remote interaction and automatic approach when a target is outside the configured range.

In the first panel, Reid points to a clickable NPC. The second panel compares Unlimited range, which allows interaction from anywhere on the map, with Limited range, which activates an event when the player is within a chosen number of tiles (3 by default). The third panel shows a player automatically walking to a reachable tile within range before the event starts. The fourth panel highlights simple per-event-page setup with the Click Trigger plugin command.

CTClickTrigger supports mouse and touch input, uses an event’s currently active page, and works with moving events. It can also be used alongside CTEventSideInteraction for direction-dependent event actions. In Limited mode, an unreachable event does not start; clicking elsewhere or using directional input cancels the automatic approach.
